Sexual health is a fundamental aspect of human well-being, yet it remains one of the most neglected and stigmatized areas in clinical practice. As mental health professionals, it is essential to address sexual difficulties with the same clinical rigor, empathy, and cultural sensitivity we apply to other psychological issues. This conference aims to deepen our understanding of the complex interplay between emotional, relational, and physiological factors in sexual functioning and distress. Through evidence-based approaches and trauma-informed perspectives, we will explore how to effectively assess, conceptualize, and treat sexual concerns across diverse clinical populations—while fostering open and respectful dialogue around a topic that is often silenced.
